Did you know that there was once a Formula 1 team whose name became more associated with controversy and disaster than its performance on the track?

The team was created when Italian shoe entrepreneur Andrea Sassetti acquired the assets of the former Coloni team and attempted to enter Formula 1. However, from the very beginning, Andrea Moda’s journey was filled with problems because the team entered the championship without the preparation and resources required to compete at the highest level of motorsport.
Their struggles started before they even reached the track. Andrea Moda used an outdated chassis, faced issues with registration payments, had limited equipment, and lacked an experienced team structure. Compared to established F1 teams, they looked completely unprepared for the demands of the sport.
