CEER EXOBOT UNVEILED: SAUDI ARABIA’S 850-HP ELECTRIC CAR TAKES AIM AT THE WORLD

Saudi Arabia is stepping deeper into the global electric vehicle industry with the introduction of Ceer Exobot, an electric car developed as part of the country’s automotive transformation under its Vision 2030 strategy.

Ceer was established by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) in partnership with Foxconn. The brand represents one of Saudi Arabia’s major efforts to develop a domestic automotive industry while reducing its long-term economic dependence on oil.

Meet the Ceer Exobot

The Ceer Exobot is offered in two main body styles: a sedan and an SUV. However, the sedan version is the one grabbing attention thanks to its seriously aggressive performance figures.

The electric sedan is claimed to produce up to 850 horsepower, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds.

That puts the Exobot firmly into performance territory normally occupied by high-powered EVs from established premium manufacturers around the world.

In other words, Ceer is not simply building an electric car for the Saudi domestic market. The company is aiming to demonstrate that Saudi Arabia can develop an EV with performance credentials designed for the global market.

Up to 670 Km of Range

Performance is only part of the Exobot’s story. The car is also claimed to deliver up to 670 km of range on a single charge, measured under the NEDC testing standard.

When it is time to recharge, the fast-charging system can reportedly take the battery from 10 to 80 percent in around 30 minutes.

That combination of range and charging capability is intended to make the Exobot suitable not only for urban driving, but also for longer journeys.

And Ceer has gone further than simply giving the Exobot a big battery and a huge motor.

Steer by Wire, Steering Yoke and Rear Wheel Steering

The Exobot comes equipped with steer-by-wire technology, eliminating the conventional mechanical connection between the steering controls and the front wheels.

The system is paired with a steering yoke, giving the cabin a distinctly futuristic appearance.

There is also rear-wheel steering, allowing the rear wheels to assist with vehicle maneuverability. At lower speeds, the system can help reduce the turning radius, while at higher speeds it can improve stability.

Ride comfort is handled by an adaptive dual-chamber air suspension system, designed to adjust the suspension characteristics according to driving conditions.

Together, these technologies are intended to give the Exobot the performance of a high-powered EV while delivering the technology and comfort expected from a premium vehicle.

Built in Saudi Arabia

Perhaps one of the most important aspects of the project is where the Exobot will be built.

The vehicle is set to be produced locally at an advanced manufacturing facility in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).

The facility forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader ambition to establish a domestic EV ecosystem, covering vehicle manufacturing and automotive technology development.

For Ceer, the Exobot is more than just another new electric car. It represents Saudi Arabia’s attempt to establish itself as a serious participant in the global automotive industry with a product combining high technology and serious performance.

With 850 hp, a 0–100 km/h time of 2.6 seconds, up to 670 km of claimed NEDC range, steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering and adaptive air suspension, the Ceer Exobot certainly arrives with ambitious numbers.

The question now is whether Saudi Arabia can turn those numbers into a genuine global automotive success story.

What do you think of the Ceer Exobot? Could Saudi Arabia’s first major electric-car project become a serious contender in the global premium EV market? Let us know in the comments.
