Ferrari’s $3,400 Leather Jacket Is Basically a Supercar You Can Wear

Ferrari has a new way to make you look like you belong in the paddock and this time, you don’t even need to own a Ferrari.

The Italian marque is offering a range of leather biker jackets priced at around $3,400, combining classic motorcycle styling with plenty of Ferrari-inspired details.

The jackets are made from soft lambskin, giving them a premium feel while keeping the design relatively lightweight and flexible. A stand-up collar adds to the aggressive biker look, while the interior gets a distinctly Ferrari touch with a bright Ferrari-red lining.

And because looking good isn’t much use if you can’t move, Ferrari has added stretch panels along the sides. They give the jacket some extra flexibility, whether you’re climbing out of a low-slung sports car or simply trying to reach for your coffee without ripping a $3,400 jacket.

But the cleverest detail is hiding around the back.

Ferrari says the rear section of the jacket takes inspiration from the shape of a Ferrari rear window, turning what could have been a fairly conventional leather jacket into another subtle piece of automotive design.

It’s a familiar Ferrari formula: take something ordinary, add Italian craftsmanship, sprinkle in some racing DNA, and suddenly the price becomes considerably less ordinary.

At around $3,400, this isn’t exactly an impulse purchase. For that kind of money, you could find plenty of very capable motorcycles or, depending on the market, a perfectly usable used car.

Still, Ferrari isn’t really selling this as just another leather jacket. It’s part of the brand’s wider lifestyle world, where the Ferrari experience extends beyond the garage and onto everything from clothing to accessories.

Our take: Ferrari has managed to make a leather biker jacket feel surprisingly automotive. The rear-window-inspired design is a particularly nice touch, because it doesn’t scream Ferrari merchandise from every angle. The bigger question is whether you’re buying the craftsmanship or simply paying for the prancing horse.

Would you spend around $3,400 on a Ferrari leather jacket, or would you rather put that money toward an actual car? Let us know in the comments.
