Monterey Car Week continues to deliver extraordinary automotive debuts, and this time the spotlight falls on RUF’s latest creation: the Ehra. Although it carries the familiar silhouette of a Porsche 911, this supercar is not built from any original Stuttgart components. It is a completely independent creation developed by RUF.
The Ehra is based on the same carbon monocoque chassis architecture first introduced in 2017 with the legendary RUF CTR Anniversary. Since then, the platform has also supported models such as the SCR, the off-road-inspired Rodeo, and the Tribute, proving the versatility of RUF’s bespoke engineering.
The name Ehra pays tribute to the famous Ehra-Lessien proving ground in Germany, where legendary racing driver Phil Hill recorded a 211 mph (339 km/h) top speed run with the original RUF CTR Yellowbird.
Unlike many modern supercars that rely on aggressive aerodynamic designs, the Ehra takes a more understated approach. The widebody design features no traditional ducktail or large whale-tail spoiler. Instead, the body is 58 mm wider at the front and 54 mm wider at the rear compared with the CTR Anniversary.
A subtle carbon-fiber active rear wing remains hidden until needed, automatically deploying at higher speeds. It is a surprisingly elegant solution for a car capable of extreme performance.
Power comes from RUF’s 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, producing 650 horsepower and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. The engine sends power to all four wheels through a seven-speed manual transmission, giving the Ehra a rare combination of modern performance and old-school driver involvement.
The chassis is equally advanced, featuring double wishbone suspension on all four corners with pushrod-operated horizontal adaptive dampers, technology normally associated with racing machines.
Visually, the Ehra combines classic sports car proportions with modern details. It features LED lighting, rear quarter-window air intakes, and newly designed forged five-spoke wheels with center-locking hubs.
The first production example was finished in “Liquid Silver” paint, paired with a handcrafted brown leather interior. Inside, RUF adds titanium pedals, green instrument gauges, and stunning Pasha-pattern carbon bucket seats, creating a cabin that blends motorsport heritage with luxury craftsmanship.
The RUF Ehra made its official debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, during Monterey Car Week, appearing alongside other RUF customer vehicles including the Rodeo, CTR Anniversary, SCR, and the extreme CTR3 EVO.
With its unique carbon chassis, manual gearbox, all-wheel drive system, and unmistakable RUF DNA, the Ehra represents a rare breed of modern supercar — one that respects the past while pushing Porsche-inspired engineering into a completely new direction.
