The world of motorsport is set to experience a different kind of racing film through 2DIE4, a documentary that captures the intensity, pressure, and emotion of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. More than just a race documentary, the film takes viewers deep into the mindset of a professional driver chasing victory at one of the toughest endurance races on the planet.
Unlike traditional racing movies, 2DIE4 features no actors, no scripted scenes, and no reenactments. Every moment was captured during the actual race weekend, giving audiences an authentic look at what it feels like to compete at the highest level of endurance racing.
The film follows Brazilian racing driver Felipe Nasr, a former Formula 1 driver and IMSA champion, as he takes on the ultimate challenge of competing at 24 Hours of Le Mans behind the wheel of the Porsche 963 Hypercar with Porsche Penske Motorsport.
During the Le Mans weekend, Nasr immediately showed impressive pace, setting the fastest time during a practice session. However, his path to victory became much more difficult after a mechanical issue during qualifying forced the Porsche Hypercar to start from the back of the grid.
From that moment, 2DIE4 transforms into a story of determination and survival. The documentary follows Nasr and his team through the intense 24-hour battle, showing the physical and mental challenges of endurance racing — from extreme fatigue and strategic decisions to split-second reactions at more than 300 km/h.
Behind the Production of 2DIE4
2DIE4 was directed by Brazilian filmmakers André Abdala and Salomão Abdala under Abdala Brothers Studios. The project was developed over several years with a cinematic approach designed to bring fans closer to the reality of professional racing.
The filmmakers captured exclusive behind-the-scenes footage during the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans, following Felipe Nasr, Porsche Penske Motorsport, and the intense preparation required to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Running approximately 61 minutes, the documentary was created as an immersive motorsport experience, with a strong focus on the driver’s perspective and the emotions behind one of the world’s greatest races.
Release Date and Where to Watch
2DIE4 is scheduled for a limited theatrical release in 2026.
The film will debut in cinemas, including IMAX screenings, on April 16, 2026, followed by a Brazilian theatrical release on April 30, 2026.
Outside of IMAX, the documentary is also expected to appear in selected standard cinemas. Digital release details, including streaming platforms and Video On Demand availability, have not been fully announced yet.
2DIE4 is not only about speed and competition. The documentary explores the human side of motorsport — the pressure, fear, sacrifice, and relentless pursuit of perfection required to compete at the highest level.
For fans of Porsche, Le Mans, WEC, and endurance racing, 2DIE4 promises a unique experience by bringing audiences closer than ever to the cockpit of a modern Hypercar and the incredible challenge of racing for 24 hours straight.
